What to Expect

When you are at our research site, you can expect to be taken care of with kindness and compassion.  Our research team does everything they can to create a friendly and educational environment.  Our site is not only a place for conducting studies, we also wish to inform you further about your condition!

Although each study differs slightly, please scroll below to read the general steps that are taken to participate in a study at our site.

Step 1: Medical Records and Pre-Screen

Once interest is expressed in one of our studies, a coordinator will collect further information from you that will cover some of the inclusions and exclusions of the research study.  If you still qualify, you will be asked to fill out a form for a medical record request from your general practitioner so that further health history can be reviewed.

Step 2: Approval and Appointment

If Dr. Ajayi finds your health history to be acceptable for the study, meaning that there are no obvious risks and you meet criteria, you will be given a set of days that your appointments will fall on.  These dates must be reviewed and confirmed to ensure that this study schedule will work for you.

Step 3: Informed Consent and Investigational Therapy

Upon your first visit, you will be required to sign an Informed Consent Form.  This form allows you to review what you need to know about the study and sign off to make sure you give our site permission to be a part of the study.  Once completed, the study will begin and you will be given contact information for the study team.
